This Privacy Policy explains how Bold Latitude LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us" or "our"), handles personal information when you use www.americanbusinessrecognition.com and the services offered under the name American Business Recognition. We are responsible for that information as its controller.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information.
- Contact form details. Your name, email address, chosen topic and message.
- Business submissions. Business name, industry, website, city and state, plus your name, email address and relationship to the business.
- Package requests. Your name, email address, the business and the package. The payment processor collects payment details, and we receive only a confirmation and limited details such as the card type and last digits.
- Business contact details. Names, email addresses and phone numbers of business contacts, and our history of contact with them.
- Technical data. IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location derived from the IP address.
- Business listing data. Public business information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, ratings and review counts collected from Google Maps. We do not store the text of reviews or reviewer names. For sole proprietors this may include a person's name.
2. How we use information
- To run the directory, calculate scores and publish recognition.
- To review submissions and answer messages.
- To process orders, deliver materials and send service messages.
- To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To measure and improve the Service.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
We send marketing email only where the law allows, and you can opt out at any time.
3. Legal bases
If the General Data Protection Regulation or a similar law applies to you, we rely on performing a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent where required, and our legal obligations.
6. Links in our emails
Emails we send to businesses may contain a personal link. When someone opens it, we record that the link was opened, the time and the browser type, and connect that record to the business contact. We use this to follow up with interested businesses and to avoid contacting those who are not. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time through our contact form.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Messages and submissions are deleted when no longer needed. Recognition records may stay public as a historical record unless a removal request is accepted.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to opt out of targeted advertising or sale, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right not to be treated differently for using these rights.
To make a request, use our contact form. We may need to confirm your identity. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. If you disagree with our decision you may appeal by replying to it, and you may complain to your local data protection or consumer authority.
9. California residents
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies, including the rights to know, delete and correct personal information and to limit the use of sensitive information. In the past 12 months we have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The categories, purposes and recipients are described in this Policy.
10. Business listings
If your name or details appear in a business listing and you want them corrected or removed, use our contact form. We may keep limited information to prevent the listing from being added again.
11. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries. Where the law requires, we use recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy by posting a new version with a new date. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice where the law requires.
